Budget Leadership by the Office of the Provost
As the chief academic officer of the university, the provost has responsibility for the university’s academic and budgetary affairs. The provost and budget team members work to align academic priorities with the annual allocation of the General Fund and discretionary spending decisions according to the U-M Budget Model, in concert with input from the schools, colleges, and other Ann Arbor campus academic and institutional units.
