U-M developing online courses about GenAI in workplace »

The University of Michigan is developing more than 35 short online courses in 2024 that will build learners’ generative artificial intelligence skills and competencies, with most launching by July. The courses feature contributions from 16 faculty members representing eight of U-M’s schools and colleges and are being developed in collaboration with the Center for Academic Innovation.

Members of the University of Michigan’s Ann Arbor campus community are invited to review and edit content for the forthcoming common agenda from the university’s Well-being Collective. Officially called the “Well-being Influencer Tour,” a series of upcoming feedback sessions offer participants the opportunity to shape and influence the future of well-being on campus.

CAI accepting proposals focused on three mission areas »

The Center for Academic Innovation is inviting proposals from Ann Arbor campus faculty to engage in projects in three areas aligned with the center’s mission. The center is currently accepting proposals focused on developing online and hybrid degree programs, adopting educational technology and conducting educational research. The center provides financial and in-kind support from U-M’s Academic Innovation Fund to help faculty and staff develop innovative projects. Each call for proposals has project priorities, submission requirements and deadlines for final proposals. CAI staff are available to consult on potential projects, offering consultation services by appointment or through open office hours.
