About Us

The Integrated Space, Academic, & Capital Planning team is a collaborative and strategic advisory unit within the Provost’s Budget Team, dedicated to enhancing the built campus environment in support of the University’s academic and research mission. Recognizing that campus facilities require significant investment and careful management, the team focuses on aligning budgetary and capital needs with long-term strategic planning, and they promote space utilization strategies to support responsible stewardship and smart growth.

The team works closely with University leadership and academic and administrative units to provide strategic advice and supports core initiatives like Campus Plan 2050 and Vision 2034. They also collaborate with units across campus to ensure that sustainability, campus planning, infrastructure, and capital project development efforts are strategically aligned. Beyond large-scale projects, the team leads and supports space utilization efforts and offers resources and advice to campus to promote enhanced physical environments.

The information in this section primarily serves academic and administrative units on the U-M Ann Arbor campus, but other units are welcome to utilize these resources as needed.
