Who has ultimate authority for approving a management plan to address a potential COI or COC?

In each unit, the COI/COC implementation policy identifies who within that unit has authority to approve plans to address potential COI/COCs. For faculty, typically the dean or director of the school, college, or unit has this authority or delegates it to the COI/COC manager, the department chair or program director, or to these two individuals jointly.
