What are the University’s guidelines for accepting gifts? 

Under University policy, employees are not allowed to receive gifts of substantial value from vendors.

Within this general guideline, your unit’s COI/COC implementation policy may define more specifically what is or is not allowed.  For example, your unit may not allow its employees to accept gifts of any value, or it may allow acceptance of gifts valued at less than a designated amount (e.g., $10).
