Disclosing Potential Conflicts of Interest
and Conflicts of Commitment

What will the COI/COC manager want from me after I disclose? 

The COI/COC manager will ask you to provide factual information about the situation that you think may create a potential COI or COC, and will also ask you other questions.  For example: How wide-ranging is the potential COI or COC?  How severe is it?  Can you perform your responsibilities without compromising University interests?  

In some cases, the COI/COC manager may ask you to provide written documents about the circumstances (e.g., your contract with an outside business or the business’s bylaws).
