The Office of the Provost is responsible for allocating and overseeing over 16 million square feet of General Fund space on the U-M Ann Arbor campus.
To ensure that campus space fulfills the academic and research missions of the University, the Office of the Provost assists units with capital planning, space needs, and requests; establishes campus space policies; and monitors space utilization with the goal of ensuring that space is managed strategically, thoughtfully, and with broader institutional needs in mind.
The guidelines, policies, and information on this web site apply to academic and administrative units that report to the Provost on the Ann Arbor campus; however, other units are welcome to use these resources as needed.
