Catherine Shaw

Assistant Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs

Catherine Shaw is an Assistant Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs, providing research and writing assistance on higher education policy issues and University affairs. She also works with the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs, providing research and administrative support on faculty concerns such as academic leadership development and dual career assistance.

Before joining the Provost’s Office in 2004, Catherine held staff positions in the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and the Rackham School of Graduate Studies. She worked previously in Hong Kong and Washington, DC. She received her A.B., M.A., and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
